This is truly one of those “Geez … why hasn’t anyone thought of this before” things. Blackhawk!, long-time friends of cops and soldiers (and even we regular guys and gals) have come up with an idea that will definitely save lives. Called their “Warrior Wear Tactical I.T.S. Pants”, they are basically rugged “outdoor” pants with a twist. An integral part of every pair are built-in tourniquets in critical locations like the thigh and the ankle area. Called an “Integrated Tourniquet System” (I.T.S.), they can be self-activated with one hand, applied again and again during training, provide the classic life-saving ability a standard tourniquet can supply and all four weigh less than a single standard tourniquet.

The best part of all is the fact they are always there. If you’re a hunter and suffer an accident from a gunshot, fall or bad bone break, this could save your keister instead of bleeding out. If you’re a cop or soldier, well — the benefit is obvious. Every working cop’s uniform should have this feature, period. Ditto for soldiers, and if you’re in the field for any reason (sports, hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, etc.) you’re officially insane if you don’t use these pants.
