Richard Fletcher is someone you might not have heard about before, but you’ll be hearing more now. He runs a one-man shop, specializing in 1911s, Hi-Powers and S&W revolvers. As he says, by limiting himself to those three he has become intimately familiar with their individual foibles — and knows how to make them even better. Our sublimely modest-looking custom gun offered is his concept of a “best quality” concealed carry gun, having an Officer’s ACP frame and a Commander slide. A solid concept, masterfully executed by Richard. Richard used a Caspian frame and slide (solid reliability there), Ahrends Grips and a wide-selection of only the best custom parts — hand fitted — supplied by our old friends at Brownells. Truly a marvelous blend of craftsmanship and quality components!

From the Kart match .45 ACP barrel, GunKote finish, Smith & Alexander mag guide, Novak Tritium sights and EGW barrel bushing/sear to the Wilson 7-round Officer’s mag and Wolff springs (and more!) this is a compelling package.

Old friend Jessica Hall from Hallmark Cutlery was gracious enough to supply this stout UZI Heavy Duty Tactical Fixed Blade cutter. It’s got a black finish on the 6.75" 8Cr14 stainless blade, micarta scales on a full tang, a wire breaking notch and a nylon belt sheath. And at 12.25" long is a real bruiser!
The First Strike Gunleather offers their Thunder Model, a hand-made, strong-side scabbard, perfect for concealed carry or range work. Made of premium vegetable-tanned cowhide, it’s hand-boned, burnished, then finished with a proprietary sealant. It’s their first time in Handgunner so we welcome them!
