Vote On A Name For Our Special Editions Mascot
Most magazines are easily formatted into dedicated columns, with a few features mixed in and of course the required advertisements — without the ads, each issue would cost hundreds of dollars at the checkout counter. The Special Editions are unique in that the entire magazine is comprised of full-length features, and each issue averages between 12 and 14 of them. The making of such a book takes a combined effort from some very talented people. Managing Editorial Assistant Stephanie Jarrell and Art Director Jennifer Lewis make the Special Editions what they are and help me appear like I know what I’m doing.
Jennifer isn’t new to the FMG team, but she is the new Art Director of the Special Editions. She brings a fresh set of eyes and ideas to the magazines, and is continually coming up with innovative ideas. For example, on the cover of the Survive SE, Jennifer added in a rooster picture. Then to make things fun, she hid the rooster somewhere in the Tactical SE. (Can you find him? I couldn’t, so she had to provide a huge hint, along the lines of: “He’s on page …”) Since then, we’ve decided to make the rooster — unofficially named Mayhem — our new FMG Special Edition mascot, and will be hiding him in each issue.
