Chiappa Hunter Rhino 60DS

A Welcome Wildcard
1

Chambered in .357 Magnum and fitted with a 6-inch barrel, the Chiappa Hunter Rhino 60DS brings the power to take whitetail and hogs and the versatility to handle coyotes and other predators.

For hunters who have filled tags with the same rifle for years, the Rhino is a welcome wildcard. Carrying a revolver means slipping in closer, playing the wind more carefully, and making every shot count–the kind of challenge that reminds veteran hunters why they fell for the woods.

Conventional revolvers fire from the top chamber; the Rhino fires from the bottom, placing the barrel low and nearly in line with the shooter’s hand. That low bore axis drives recoil straight back into the palm rather than levering the muzzle upward, delivering less muzzle flip, faster follow-up shots, and a magnum that stays comfortable through a full afternoon at the camp range.

The .357 Magnum has long earned its place in the woods. With quality hunting loads and sensible shot distances, it has the penetration for deer and hogs and the speed and accuracy for predators. The cylinder also chambers .38 Special, giving the whole camp an affordable, lighter-recoiling option for practice and friendly competition between hunts.

The 60DS Hunter pairs a Cerakote-green machined 7075-T6 alloy frame with a blued steel cylinder and barrel, keeping it light at 2.06 pounds. An adjustable green fiber-optic rear sight picks up fast in dawn and dusk light, and medium walnut grips add a classic touch to a thoroughly modern revolver. The Rhino fires single- or double-action and holds six rounds. It is made in Italy by Chiappa and distributed in the U.S. by Chiappa USA, based in Dayton, Ohio.
