MTM ACR4 Ammo Crate

Okay, I’m an itinerant “stasher” and I admit it. It used to be, if I saw a rusty, dented ammo can at a garage sale, I’d buy it. It’d then go onto my big pile of rusty, dented ammo cans — just in case I needed one. Fortunately, over the years I’ve come to realize MTM boxes make much better sense. They aren’t rusty, aren’t dented, aren’t heavy and you can get about any size you like. My loading cabinet is full of MTM’s cartridge boxes and I have various other MTM-related boxes full of tools, fishing gear, ammo, machine tools and such scattered here and there.

Their newish Ammo Crate series (in a couple of sizes) is as close to a do-everything box as you can get, without doing any bank-breaking, either. This model holds a case of 10 shotgun shell boxes, and their bigger model will double that. It has MTM’s cool sealing system, two heavy duty handles, and you can double lock it with padlocks. For a day at the range it’s a perfect way to tote your ammo and related goodies. If you walk away from the line on a public range, it’s easy to snap your locks on to keep prying fingers out of your stuff while you check targets or eat your baloney sandwich.

Right off the top of my head, I’m thinking bug-out box, survival kit, boating or small plane gear, tools, emergency lighting, batteries, water-filtering gear, powder holder, primer holder, first aid kits, safety gear for your car, dog food when you travel and hey, even ammo! That’s a lot of options for well under $20.

P.S. That’s my cool old Colt Officer’s Target Model and no, it’s not for sale — but it’s okay to stare. For more info: https://mtmcase-gard.com/, Ph: (937) 890-7461
