D&L Sports Thumb Shield Grips
The Thumb Shield Grips from D&L Sports are for skilled shooters who use the proper high thumb hold when shooting their single-stack 1911 pistol. They feature an integral plunger tube housing so the plunger tube is bolted to the pistol frame, not merely staked into place. A loose plunger tube housing can allow the plunger to lock the safety in the ON position, and prevent the pistol from firing when needed.
The thumb shields are one piece with the grip panels and are easy to install and secure. They stop shooters’ thumbs from rubbing against the slide and prevent drag on the slide during operation.
