The Xolotl (show-low-tl) is the fusion of heritage, precision and elite performance. Designed by veteran and former Green Beret Michael Rodriguez, this out-the-front automatic carries the fierce spirit of its namesake while delivering cutting-edge capability for today’s operator.

Crafted in the USA, the Xolotl features a dual-action OTF mechanism with crisp, decisive deployment. Its spear-point blade is ground on both edges for maximum cutting efficiency and is forged from MagnaCut steel for superior edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance.

The lightweight yet durable aluminum handle is sculpted with skeletal details that pay homage to the Aztec deity Xolotl — the guide of souls to the afterlife. Look closer, and you’ll see 21 ribs along the grip — one for each of Michael’s years of service. A sternum-shaped reversible pocket clip completes the story, carrying securely and discreetly.

Michael Rodriguez’s charity of choice for this knife is the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation. Established in 2016, the Forged by War® program spearheaded a collaboration between CRKT and Veterans, inviting real-life warriors to apply their knowledge and experience to design a specialty line of mission-ready knives and tools. In addition to receiving commission on their designs, a portion of the profits is donated to the Veterans’ charity of choice. CRKT is proud to offer this dedicated collection to support the participating charities on a national level.
