The Springfield Armory Echelon Alpha 4.0C 9mm pistol offers shooters a highly accessible entry point into the modular Echelon ecosystem. With an MSRP of $599, this 4″ barreled, 15+1-capacity compact 9mm pistol is ready to perform on day one, as well as evolve with you over time.
Built around the robust Central Operating Group and a serialized stainless-steel chassis used in all Echelon pistols, the Alpha provides a rock-solid foundation for your modern, modular defensive handgun needs. Precision-built from stainless steel using advanced manufacturing methods, the chassis can be easily removed and paired with different grip modules and slides, allowing you to quickly reconfigure the Alpha across the Echelon platform.
In addition, the Echelon Alpha features the Variable Interface System™ under the pistol’s polymer slide plate cover, enabling direct mounting for today’s most popular optics. This patent-pending system is designed to mount more than 30 optics directly to the slide without the use of adapter plates. Simply configure the self-locking pins (a Trijicon® RMR® footprint set is included) to match the footprint of your desired optic for a low, direct mount that improves sight picture and intuitive alignment.
The recontoured slide of the Echelon Alpha is precision forged and finished in Melonite for durability. It features deep, aggressive serrations for a secure grip and fast, positive manipulation in any condition. It also features an interchangeable backstrap system that allows you to tailor the grip to your hand.
The Springfield Armory Echelon Alpha ships with the medium backstrap; small and large sizes are also available. It also ships with a flush-fit, stainless-steel, 15-round magazine. All Echelon magazines are compatible with the Echelon Alpha. Reduced capacity 10-round and California-legal variants of the Alpha 4.0C are also available.
