Some guns are more than steel and walnut — they’re icons. In this video, we take a short trip back in time with a second-generation Colt Single Action Army in .45 Colt, a five-and-a-half-inch revolver that checks every “classic sixgun” box: nickel finish, ivory grips and a slick action courtesy of Peacemaker specialist Eddie Janis.

Though beautiful enough to be a safe queen, this one definitely isn’t. It’s been carried in matching leather and even run through the Thunder Ranch Pre-1900 course, proving that these old Colts are more than display pieces — they’re working guns with plenty of life left.
