Let’s cut to the chase. Though this list could keep going with countless details (which some of you will no doubt bring to our attention) under any normal circumstances:

• It’s wrong to take away guns, ammunition and accessories people already legally own.*

• It’s wrong to limit common ammunition and gun types.

• It’s wrong for gun-rights groups not to press for increased public gun ownership.

• It’s wrong for anti-gun groups to exist, but they’re free to do so.

• It’s wrong for communists to run for office in America.

• It’s wrong to call communist China, China.

• It’s wrong for mass media not to run stories identifying our mortal enemies clearly.

• It’s wrong for journalists to omit positive gun stories.

• It’s wrong for reporters not to call out anti-American policies of candidates.

• It’s wrong for schools to teach gun fear and encourage so-called “gun control.”

• It’s wrong for schools to fail to teach marksmanship and safe gun handling.

• It’s wrong for candidates to run on anti-rights platforms.

• It’s wrong for reporters to fail to question unconstitutional policy proposals.

• It’s wrong for broadcasters to let favored politicians use their air to advertise themselves.

• It’s wrong to violate the plain terms of the Constitution and not face punishment.

• It’s wrong for branches of government to usurp each other’s powers and skate.

• It’s wrong for federal departments not contemplated by the Constitution to exist.

• It’s wrong to let stare decisis overrule original intent in the Constitution.

• It’s wrong to have bureaucrats with clipboards empowered instead of subservient.

• It’s wrong to be armed and feel ashamed.

• It’s wrong for criminals to get and have guns more freely than innocent citizens.

• It’s wrong to have to spell any of this out, we used to know it to our core.

• It’s extra especially wrong to campaign for office on a policy of promising to disarm or subarm the public.

Elect Me And I’ll Enslave You

In fact, you cannot legitimately qualify to take the office of the Presidency on such a position. Why? Because you must swear an oath to ascend to that office. An oath is a solemn, meaningful pledge to the people you will represent. Taking an oath under false pretense, or with purpose of deception, is the most grievous, duplicitous, evil thing a person can do. You cannot legitimately take office that way. It completely disqualifies you from any sense of legitimacy.

It means you are a fraud and could literally be expelled in an uprising for doing so. It would be like saying, with the sugar-coating stripped from your words, “Elect me and I will enslave you.” That’s grounds for revolution or civil war, it really is. Happens the world over, all the time. People who enslave other people open themselves up to and are subject to removal from office by the harshest means.

Oaths Matter, As Does Hate

In America we avoid this with solemn oaths. Yes, oaths are that important. For the Presidency:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Can you say that and also promise to violate the Second Amendment? That’s a rhetorical question with one simple answer: “No.” Promising to take your guns away — some of them, any of them, only the black ones, the big ones, the good ones, the fast ones, the ones everyone likes, the ones police think are best, the ones you already own, any of them — prevents you from honestly saying “I will defend the Constitution.”

It’s wrong to teach your children to hate and fear guns. It’s wrong to teach anyone to hate and fear guns. It’s wrong to have anyone who hates and fears guns teach. It’s wrong to hate. It’s wrong to let anyone filled with hate and fear go about in society without getting treatment, or remedial education. It’s wrong for people whose understanding is so thin and limited they don’t understand how force can be used to preserve and defend liberty against the vast array of evil forces assembled to deny it to you and the world. One hopelessly misguided self-deception of the left is violence never solved anything. This couldn’t be more wrong. Without violence, you-know-who would still rule Germany.

The world is a dangerous place. Our Founders understood this, and faced it head on, with the force needed to vanquish it. We do not live in a place where peace, love and harmony dominate; some utopian place of tranquility. That’s a novel — a dystopian novel of deception and poetry that simply does not exist and misleads people into slavery. People teaching this are themselves slave masters, leading lemmings down a gilded path of misery, subjugation and death. Letting such happy tyrants anywhere near the reins of power is a deadly mistake.

The nation-state system — ours — the most viable ever invented for protecting life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, needs defense. It’s wrong to not honor your country and its symbols. Working from within for its constant improvement is honorable. To do otherwise is to encourage despotism and lawlessness. Outside a society that features the rule of law, with a Bill of Wrongs instead of a Bill of Rights, life becomes, “nasty, brutish and short,” at least according to Thomas Hobbes.

* Note: The very first point begs the question: aren’t you supposed to use the front end of your gun to protect it, and you, from any person threatening to take it?
